Trend Alert - ‘Ombre’ Hair

We’ve all seen Drew Barrymore making a statement with her ‘Ombre’ hair
lately, but it seems she’s not on her own in loving this unique style as other
celebs have been jumping on the ‘Ombre’ bandwagon this summer. You can create your
own cool ‘Ombre’ hair using HeadKandy hair extensions.
So what is ‘Ombre’ hair I hear you cry ... well it looks a bit like you’ve
forgotten to dye your roots for a while, but in a good way ... the roots and
top of the hair are darker and they slowly fade down into lighter tips... it
may sound a bit outlandish, but as we’ve seen with celebs like Drew Barrymore,
Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson, Hilary duff and Kristin Cavallari, this look can
really work and it looks set to be big this autumn!!
If you fancy trying out a bit of ‘Ombre’ for yourself then you have a few
options:
If you have dark roots or hair similar to shades Espresso or Melted Chocolate
then you can spice up your do by adding some single strips in Tanned Blonde or
LA Blonde, dying the roots of these extensions by two shades darker would
create a more natural ‘Ombre’ look as your hair subtly fades from dark to
light.
Alternatively, if you’re a block colour brunette and you want a more subtle
take on the ‘Ombre’ look then you could try a full head set in either Iced Coffee or Cappuccino Highlights to add some drama! Again, dying the roots
of the extensions would give you a more faded effect.
‘Ombre’ hair is definitely an acquired taste and you’ll either love it or hate
it, but it seems it’s around to stay for the moment at least so why not
Ombre-fy your own locks with HeadKandy hair extensions...?

Ayda Field becomes Ayda Williams Whilst Wearing Hair Extensions

Actress Ayda Field was looking gorgeous as she got hitched to heartthrob Robbie Williams at the beginning of the month and her hair was simply stunning! Ayda obviously had a top stylist to get her hair looking so fab, but you can achieve the same look with HeadKandy hair extensions.
Ayda’s colouring is very similar to HeadKandys shade Jennifer Aniston (or if you want a more golden look like the picture above then opt for the shade St Tropez) and you could re-create her gorgeous length with a 20-22” full head set. This will give you plenty of hair to work with and will add natural looking length and volume!
If you want the look for your own big day or for another glam occasion then why not try curling your extensions using jumbo curling tongs and then gently brush the curls through to loosen them slightly. Add your final touches by pinning some hair back in a glitzy slide and applying a good quality hair spray and then you’ll be ready to go out looking as hot as Ayda!

Cheryl Cole and Her Hair Extensions are Reunited!
It’s clear that Cheryl Cole is on the mend and to our great delight she has
decided it’s time to reacquaint herself with her old friends ... her hair
extensions!!
Cheryl was spotted on an evening out with professional dancer Derek Hough at
the Beverly Hills Steakhouse last week and she was back on form and looking
gorgeous in a navy silk dress and a beautiful new set of hair extensions.
Her ‘Iced Coffee’ locks were looking very glam in loose curls and complimented
her dress perfectly for her intimate dinner with Derek.
We think it’s great to see Cheryl getting back to her old self with her fab new
extensions!!

Trend Alert! ‘Nixties’ is the Hot New Look for Next Season
According to Grazia, next season will be all about the
fifties in fashion but, beauty is jumping ahead with the ‘Nixties’ – a look that combines the retro
look of the sixties and adds a touch of the nineties to spice things up. You can achieve your
very own ‘Nixties’ look with the help of HeadKandy hair extensions!
The ‘Boho Beehive’
Let’s start with the ‘Boho Beehive’ which is a great
style for mid-length to long hair. A full head set of HeadKandy hair extensions would be great for
adding gorgeous and natural looking volume and length to help you achieve this look.
Adding an extra quad weft higher up on the back of the head, backcombing the roots of your
hair and using Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Hairspray will give you the volume
boost for the sixties beehive. To add a touch of Boho, loosely curl your hair and brush
through to give your own hair and the extensions a slight wave.

‘Bohemian Chic’
A HeadKandy full head set would be perfect for giving you
natural looking thickness to achieve the ‘Bohemian Chic’ look. Couple your hair
extensions with a blunt fringe to create this statement hairdo. You can create a more natural look
and add some texture by adding some random loose curls which can be achieved by quickly
curling strands of hair with straightening irons. ‘Uber’ layers looks great for this
hair style, have your stylist trim your hair extensions for the desired effect!
‘The Nouffant’
And finally, if you want a more extreme ‘Nixties’ look
then ‘The Nouffant’ is just for you! Backcomb your hair at the root and then tease your hair
upwards and away from the root using your fingers, clip the hair into place when you are
happy with the style. Use a good quality strong hold hair spray to keep your do in place!
So there you have it, hot off the press! Next season is
all about the ‘Nixties’ so have your hair spray at the ready and make a statement with one of
these gorgeous hairdo’s.

The Hills: Get the Look with HeadKandy Hair Extensions

The
Hills may have come to an end, but the stars styles are still hot and
fans of the show can get the girls glamorous looks with HeadKandy hair
extensions!
The girls were looking gorgeous at the series finale party
with their luscious locks last month and if you have similar hair shades
to any of the stars then here’s how to get your hair looking just as
on-trend as theirs:
Kristin Cavallari – for Kristin’s look shade California Highlights would be fab! Using Large Velcro or heated rollers and then
brushing the curls through would give you Kristin’s natural looking
waves.
Audrina Patridge – Shade Jennifer Aniston or Tanned Blonde
would be great for Audrina’s look. You could style your hair extensions
like Audrina by using HeadKandys 24mm curling tongs and running your
fingers through the curls to loosen them.
Lo Bosworth - Shade Manhattan
Highlights would be great for Lo’s look and it would also work well for
Lauren Conrad’s look – (we know she’s not in the sixth series but,
she’s still as popular as ever). You could pin the extensions back
loosely for a glam and sophisticated effect.
Stephanie Pratt – Paparazzi Highlights would work really well if you wanted to re-create
Stephanie’s look. Get her poker straight style by using straightening
irons on your own hair and on the HeadKandy hair extensions when you’ve
fitted them into place.
You’ll be the envy of all your friends if you
go out with gorgeous volumous hair that looks like it’s fresh from The
Hills, so what are you waiting for? Head over to the HeadKandy online
shop and get ready to look gorgeous on your next night out with your fab
new hair extensions!

Hair Extensions for Thin and Fine hair

If you have thin or baby fine hair and are looking for
a ‘new do’ then look no further as HeadKandy’s clip in hair extensions are
perfect for fine hair as well as thick hair!
If you’ve thought about getting hair extensions but, are concerned that your
hair is too fine then there’s really no need to worry as the clips used for
the wefts in the HeadKandy hair extensions are discreet. You won’t have to
worry about everyone seeing them and there are plenty of techniques you can try
to give you a natural and glamorous look.
Styling Tips
A great tip to get the clips to hold on to your hair well is to backcomb your
hair and hairspray it at the roots so the clips have something better to hold
on to. Another fab idea is to wear the quad weft slightly lower down on your
head for a more natural look.
Remember, HeadKandy hair extensions are made with 100% Grade A remy human hair
which means they are just perfect for styling and creating different looks whether
your hair is thick or thin!
